"WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW IS SUPERFOOD."

Generally, superfood refers to healthy food that is high in
nutrients with low calories and fat contents but with abundant
vitamins, minerals, fiber and anti-oxidants.

The word is derived from the title of the book 'Superfoods:
Fourteen Foods That Will Change Your Life', written by the
American nutrition expert Steven Pratt, who introduced food
that is 'nutrition-rich, detoxing, immunity-enhancing and
anti-aging' as 'superfoods'.

Superfoods are not only low in calories and fat contents,
but also are abundant in bioactive substances including
vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. These nutrients
help enhancing the immune system against various types
of diseases that can be caused due to pollution, stress and
irregular eating habits.
